In August we upgraded the hosting of all websites on the .cabanova.com subdomain (e.g. yourwebsite.cabanova.com) to use the secure and encrypted HTTPS format (SSL). Free SSL-Certificate for your custom domains

If you have registered your own domains via Cabanova, we can provide them with SSL certificates. There is a low one time fee to get it up and running, but the actual SSL certificate is free so there are no yearly renewal fees.

How to recognize SSL secured pages:

In the address bar of your browser is written https://

To the left of the URL you will an icon of a lock and the word “Secure”.

What advantages does HTTPS provide?

The information of your visitors is encrypted and therefore even more secure.

If you have a web shop, your customers prefer to provide their personal details and payment details over a secure connection.

A website without encryption has a negative image and your visitors receive a warning that the site is not encrypted.

Using HTTPS has a positive effect on your Google search engine ranking, which may attract more visitors to your site. The upgrade to HTTPS is, among other criteria, a very useful tool for search engine optimization (SEO).

Tips when switching to HTTPS

If you should use third party widgets or external HTML code, please check if this code is https compatible. You may need to add an S after the HTTP, so that no error message appears in the address bar. If after the changes the error message still occurs, please contact the provider from whom you received the code for assistance.

It is a good idea to re-register the HTTPS version of your website again at Google and other search engines and directories.

Please inform all partners, affiliate operators etc. about the change in your URL.
